Hey, I'm Danielle. I'm so glad you're here!
"About Me" Sections can be boring. So let's make this fun, shall we?!
Q. Because the people want to know, how many years of design experience have you had?
A. I've been working professionally for 10 years! I've worked full time for a few different companies including Cru, Shepherd's Heart International, and the North American Mission Board. As a freelancer, I've worked with many different companies, from Chick-fil-A to Precept to small local businesses. I like all kinds of design projects from branding, to print layouts, to social media! I'm really down for anything and I want to make something you and your clients, your grandma, and your golden doodle love.
Q. What's one of your most favorite projects?
A. In January of this year, I finished up my very first printed Bible study for Yarrow, Precept's young adult imprint. It's called The Light & Life of the World, and it's the first part in a five-part series on the life of Jesus. I illustrated the cover and elements throughout it, and spent so much time perfecting the layout. It comes out in June and I can't wait! Get a sneak peek of it under the "my work" section :)
Q. Tell us about your personal life.
A. I live in Marietta, GA with my husband, Walker, and our dog and cat, Bandit & Outlaw! I moved here from Austin, TX, but I am originally from Spring City, TN. I love art in general, so I'm typically designing, taking photos, painting, reading, singing, etc. I love being with people and just getting to know them and their story. Coffee dates are my absolute favorite! I love traveling and am always down to explore a new place.
Q. What's your go-to coffee order?
A. I judge coffee shops based on how good their caramel lattes are, so that's probably it. I've tried the whole black-coffee-is-the-way-to-go thing, and I'd honestly just rather have something fun.
Q. Who are you inspired by?
A. My grandma taught me how to paint as a child, so mostly her. She's the reason I got into this whole art thing in the first place. Secondly, Ruth Chou Simons and a couple other Christian artists who have a rich theological framework around creating. I love creating with intent and purpose!
Q. An important one, how do I contact you about a project?
A. Fill out the form under the "Let's Chat" tab and I'll get back to you ASAP! I can't wait to hear what you have in mind. :)
